Essay #10

Should the internet be censored by parents? This is a question that many are currently asking, due to the increasing amount of pornography and illegal activity now found on the Web. The Internet allows anyone from anywhere to share all types of information about themselves and others. Although many believe censoring the internet is a violation to the first amendment, I personally believe that the Internet should be censored by parents because there are a variety of websites that have graphics that should not be viewed by minors.

Pornography is the main reason why I say the internet should be censored. It is not only bad and unhealthy for minors, but also for married couples as well. Once pornography appeared on the internet, its negativity exploded so quickly that it was able to mess with the minds of any viewer who watched it. It seemed like one day there were normal educational sites and a few personal home pages, and the next there was pornography everywhere. It is getting as bad as to where it is nearly impossible to perform a search in any search engine without running into hundreds of sex sites. It didn't seem to matter what the search was about, the same kind of sites were returned.

So to answer the question "should the internet be censored by parents," I think yes. By censoring the internet from minors, we would limit the risk of children knowing and viewing what sex looks like before their own parents can even explain the real meaning of sexual intercourse.

The time I drowned..

My personal memory of swimming is the time I fell into the swimming pool and drowned. I was three years old when it happened . I almost died but my dad jumped in and saved my life.
I remember I was so scared after that experience that I was afraid to go near a pool for awhile. That experience was one of the worst moments of my life. Even though this event took place almost thirteen years ago, I still remember that day like it happened yesterday. I feel that it’s a miracle I survived the ordeal because if my dad wasn’t outside at the time, I probably wouldn’t be here today. I feel grateful that I survived and I also learned a great life lesson from it.
I learned to always watch out for your surroundings around you and always be careful whenever you are doing something. I say that because the whole ordeal happened because it was my fault. It happened when I was running around the pool for some reason and then I slipped in it. Now whenever I’m around a pool I don’t run around it. And if I do I do it around the seven feet or below area.
Now I actually loves to go to pools. I’m mostly over the experience but I still remember it from time to time. But overall I don’t let the ordeal really affect my life anymore.

The young person I see in my mom...

The Yong Person I see in my mom is that of a young woman in a twenty year old mindset in a fifty three year old body. I say my mom is still a young person even though she really isn’t because she acts like it. She still be going out and shopping for hours, she buy clothes that she would buy if she was still in her twenties. But I still love her and will forever love her till the day I die.

My mom still be having fun and is still happy at her age and that’s all you can really ask for. She’s earned the right in a since to do whatever she wants to do and do it in whatever way she pleases. I feel if you have been through all the stuff she’s been through and you have made to live past fifty that you are able to live your life how you want even if it means acting like a age your not.

And plus I feel forever love her because she has raised me most of my life by herself and I’m forever indebted to her for that because she’s the main reason I’m not in the streets in some gang or something. She’s the reason I’m such a gentleman as I am and a respectable man that I am. That’s why I love my mom and the young person that still lives within her.

College after highschool?

If you were to ever ask me if a person should go to college right after high school I would say that it depends on the individual themselves. I would say that because first of all some people want to get college over with as soon as possible and others want to take a break for awhile before they dedicate themselves to college. And some people don’t want to go to college altogether.

In my own opinion of what I would do is go right after high school because I know I wouldn’t go back if I took an extended break. I would go as soon as I got out of high school because the information you learned school wise would still be fresh in your mind and would make college work sort of easier. Other than taking a break and losing some of the information then you would be screwed and have to relearn some of the information. I think going early would be good because you would be able to enjoy the college life style while your still young instead of putting off college and coming back probably at an older age. That’s how I feel in my opinion about going early to college. And if you get that scholarship then you basically have to go right after high school because everything is free and you really have don’t have to pay for anything.

Where plans become necessary...

One situation to where changing plans becomes necessary is when you plan to go on a trip, you and your friend plan to go to universal studios. You plan out what your going to buy, wear, and what rides your going to get on. You plan it a week before on a Friday after school. You and some friends plan to take the bus to universal studios and to get picked up by you parents to stay at the theme park more longer. So after school you and a bunch of friends ride the bus to universal studios, when you get there you do everything as planned. Until in the middle of the trip your mother calls and says that you have to leave early because they can't come and get you because the car broke down. So your furious because now you have to leave early and take the bus home. So you tell your friends and they leave with you. When you get home you guys talk and plan another day but hopefully this time you pray that your plans work out the right way.

conveniecnces changes a person's life

I think one person could convince some one to do something or change something that could affect a person's life. I think this because I've seeen it happen. It could happen to a person for better or worse . It could affect someone's life for the better by convincing someone to do something good that could benefit them in life. Also it could affect someone's life for the worst because you could try to convince them to do something that could harm their life and put them in the line of death. So i mean conveniences could be good as wellas being bad, but it's up to us to take the convince or not.

Ideal Vacation...

My vision of an ideal vacation is where you take the time out of work to go out to a beautiful tropical place for at least a week. A whole 7 days of the week. A ideal vacation place is a place where you know no one but the people you are with on your vacation or if your by yourself but with someone is better. Both you and your company rent a hotel with a beautiful view and you go sight seeing, exploring and shopping. While doing all of this you and your company take pictures and try new things. On one of your vacation day you take a trip to a very peaceful place and you relax your mind away from all the stress in your life. All of this is what to me is known as an ideal vacation.

There's something about the way he...

There's something about the way he saves me from everything letting me know every thing is going to be okay. I have yet the words to describe him although i have all the words to say. I don't know him as much as i would like to but i feel he knows everything about me, somethings i don;t even know. Scary right. Never the less it is the truth. He's always there for me and know he would never leave me no matter what. He told me he'd love me forever. Although forever is a very long time that's what he said. I want to know him more the anything in the world and i want to be something to him. There's something about the way he loves me that made me write about him and i wouldn't change this something for anything in the world.

My all time favorite movie!

My all- time favorite movie is the" Titanic" the Titanic is my all- time  favorite movie because, it shows me about real love, to have it all and be unhappy, and how unexpected things could happen any where.
The movie "Titanic" shows me about real love because, as total strangers, Jack and Rose fell in love after only a day of knowing each other. When a tragic event happened Jack gave his life up to save Rose. She survived to live a very old age but he died saving her. This example I have brought to your attention shows that if you really love some one you would give up your own life just so that they could live theirs.
This movie also explains to me hows it feels to have it all and be unhappy. For example, in the movie Rose was a very unhappy girl who was engaged with a handsome but abusive man with a great fortune. Forced by her mother into this engagement Rose longed for a way out. Desperately  looking for a way out of the abusive relationship, she attempted to ill herself by jumping over board the ship. She was stopped by Jack after moments of hesitation realizing that id she really wanted to jump she would have done it already.
Finally the "Titanic" reveals to me that unexpected things could happen anywhere. This is revealed because in the movie two strangers fall in love within two days of  knowing each other on a ship at sea. Both strangers were from tow separate worlds but yet showed each other what its like to be loved. Also, my other reason for this statement is that since the ship in the Titanic was designed, no one would think it would possibly sink. By believing this they didn't care to put enough safety boats on the ship for everyone to fit if in case of an emergency. However when the ship hits the side an iceberg it damages the ship an within hours the ship began to sink.
How unexpected those events took place explains one of the reasons why the Titanic is my favorite movie. This movie to me is suspenseful, romantic, and an interesting movie. That shows about real love, being unhappy and having everything, and how unexpected things could happen anywhere. This movie is one of the greatest movies of all time and all of these examples explain why i  love this movie so much.

When I wake up..

When I wake up i always wonder if I'm going to have a good day or if its going to be bad. I always laugh at the fact that i think the way i do because i know the day is always what I make it. So after i finish thinking about what my day is going to be like I pick out my clothes, wash my face and brush my teeth, eat breakfast and get ready for school. More over I make sure my brother is ready and we walk to school. I drop him off and walk to the bus stop. Then i hang out with my friends until its time for class. After hanging out of whatever I go to whatever periods I  have that morning. Finally after those classes are over i go to lunch and my morning is over and that is what i do when i wake up.

The dinosaur in my backyard!

Imagine if you woke up and saw a dinosaur in your backyard. write a story of what you would see or do.

One day i woke up and saw a dinosaur in the backyard and my mouth dropped open wide. I walked over to the dinosaur and starred at it, i thought it was going to eat me but it smiled at me. I was so happy so I kept it as a pet and I had to feed it a lot but it came in handy. I didn't need a car or a license to get where ever I need to go. So me and my dinosaur lived happily ever after.

Life on another planet!

For centuries people have wondered about the possibility of life on other planets i the universe. I believe there is life on other planets in the universe. I believe their is life on other planets in the universe besides our own. i approve of this because i don't believe planets are there to just sit around floating in space with no life force on it, there may be another planet for us to go on besides earth, and people talk, read, and watch about life being on another planet besides our own.
I don't believe that planets are there to just sit around floating in space with no life force on it because God made those planets for a reason and not just to be sitting around collecting dust all day. Planets are used for something if not to live upon. Whether it's to help the sun make night or day, or moreover there are other creatures that may have the same feeling as we humans do and God put them on another planet to separate us. Whatever the case planets are there for a purpose other than cluttering the atmosphere.
Moreover I believe that there may be another planet for us to live on besides earth. i acknowledge this as well because there are all sorts of stories about the and I'm sure no one wants to die. However people tend to talk about not dying and are told by scientist that there may be another place to live on besides earth. Are these accusations true? I'm afraid I can't answer that question but what other place besides earth and heaven could they be talking about?
Finally I agree that there is other lives on another planet because people talk, read, and watch about life being on another planet besides ours. For example " War of the World", what was really the purpose of that movie? My belief is that some people strongly know and believe that there are other living being or creatures on other planets. Also these people take the time out to put it in rumors, books, and movies. As far as discovering weird things scientist finds things on other planets that make minds wonder if there is some thing living up there. In conclusion to that, some scientist come up with the conclusion that there is life on another or however, other planets inside of the atmosphere .
I may be wrong in believing that there is life on other planets. As well as I may be wrong for stating that planets aren't there to collect dust, there are other planets for us humans to live upon and people talk, read, and watch about there being life on other planets. All of my accusations may be completely invalided but the question is are they?, or is just that they are just as afraid to step foot on our planets as we are to theirs? Whatever the solution my belief will stay the same until i am proven incorrect.

Ending Relationships..

There are a lot of tough things about being in relationships. All the hard work put into them just to make sure they last but, when you have done all you can for the relationship and it just is not working anymore, you have to end it. Ending a relationship is never easy and is probably one of the most difficult things to do. Some people want to end relationships but don’t for such reasons as, they don’t know how because they never have before, can’t take the guilt of hurting someone, or even because they plain just don’t want to do it. There are people out there that don’t end relationships but start new ones. That is definitely not the safest way to go with this sort of thing and it is much easier to just end the one relationship than to be stuck in the middle of two. So, to end a relationship is first make certain it’s what you want to do. It’s difficult trying to deal with knowing you made a mistake and the chance of winning them back is usually slim to none, so make sure. Second, never end a relationship in the worst possible way by disrespecting the other person in any way, remember this might affect them deeply so try and make it as easy as possible. Always do it with respect. Lastly, be honest. Tell them exactly why you are ending it no matter how hard it may be, tell the truth.

The right college..

When you’re in high school, choosing the right college can be really hard and stressful. You have all these options of great schools in great places with great courses but you can only choose one and there is so much pressure to make sure your decision is the right one. After all, your future does kind of sort of depend on it right? So, how do you do it? How do you know you’re making the right choice? Well, first off, when you’re applying to colleges, make sure you look at colleges that have what you need and everything about it. Make sure they have exactly what you need to succeed and get closer to your lifetime career and make sure its somewhere you would like to spend a lot of your time being. Arrange a campus tour and talk with people from there like administers or counselors to get a feel of the campus and campus life. After you’ve found some colleges that you’re interested in, rank them. Choose the one you most want to go to and make that your number one. Go from there with your second, third, and so on choices. Next, apply to all of them. You never know if you’re going to get accepted to your first choice so you always have backups and options. Lastly, see what colleges you have gotten into and pick the one that was ranked your highest out of the choices you are given and you’re on your way.

My state of the art computer...

When buying anything you want to make sure that it is something you really want to invest in, use frequently, and pay money for. You want to make sure it’s worth buying. Well, buying a new state of the art is absolutely no different. When buying a new computer, there are a lot of different things you have to check out and look at. You don’t want to waste your money on some old piece of crap that doesn’t even work right? So here’s what you might want to look at when trying to buy a new state of the art computer. First off, find a computer and brand that suits you the best. You might want to do your research and see what kind will fit you and work with you the best. Then, find out all the information on it you can. Go in depth and find out information on stuff like: its speed which will tell you how good it runs, its ergonomics which is basically telling you how it physically works like how easy the keyboard or touch pad is to use and even case design, its display which could be its screen quality (clarity, contrast, viewing angle), its multimedia and features within that, its speakers like how loud they go or how responsive they are, and if you’re buying a laptop, you can check battery life and its longevity along with the weight of the computer and durability. And finally enjoy your perfectly picked computer.

Impulsive buying...

Going shopping and spending some money here and there once in a while is normally fun and harmless. After all, if you work hard for your money you should be able to spend some on yourself sometimes right? Well yes, you should. But, there becomes a time when some people shop and spend uncontrollably. It's called impulsive buying and it's quite a dangerous thing. There are people out there who deal with this issue and it could be ruining them. People who buy and shop impulsively could have started for many reasons. They could have started because they love to shop and just can't get enough of it, or they feel happy doing it so they feel it's necessary to do it, or they need to make sure they have the latest and best stuff so they just buy up everything, or even, they could have the money and just don't know what else to do with it so they decide to buy buy buy. All these things could affect someone’s life greatly and negatively because you could be spending your life away and end up with no money and a lot of stuff. It's an addiction an when you run out of money to support it, you do drastic things to support your addiction which can lead you to doing illegal and harmful things that not only affect you, but the people around you as well.

Saving my family history...

Family history is such an important thing for people of all ages. It’s important to know your family background and history because it’s a part of what has shaped you into the kind of person you are today. A great way to try and preserve your family history is by simply talking and listening to an older relative. They are the best candidates to tell you all about your history because they have lived some of it and have maybe been told by one of their older relatives when they were younger. All you have to do is talk to them, listen to what they have to say. Most of the older family members or people in general love to talk about their past and childhood or young adulthood anyways so just ask them. You can ask them questions that take them back to "a time when…" and have them tell you all about it. You can even ask questions like "why do we call this that?" or "why is this like that?", all really good trigger questions. More really great ways to find out about your family history is by having your older relatives just sit and tell lots of stories dealing with anything and everything they have experienced. Have them go deep in their memories and have them share them with you, everything they remember. Have them talk about times when they sat and talked with their parents or grandparents about family history. You’ll learn a lot.

Winter...

Clouded with snow
The cold winds blow,
And shrill on leafless bough
The robin with its burning breast
Alone sings now.

The rayless sun,
Day's journey done,
Sheds its last ebbing light
On fields in leagues of beauty spread
Unearthly white.

Thick draws the dark,
And spark by spark,
The frost-fires kindle, and soon
Over that sea of frozen foam
Floats the white moon.

Do you remember..

Do you remember when we would laugh because we thought alike?
It’s over.
Do you remember when we would dream of our future, laughing
in the face of all likelihood?
It’s over.
Do you remember when you hurt, and i could do nothing for it, but love you- which i did, without holding back for anything?
It’s over.
Do you remember falling in love?
It’s over.
Do you remember being friends, but wanting more?
It’s over.

Any decade..

If I could live in any decade, it would be years from now. Anytime such as 2100-2110. Almost 100 years from now. I would love to live in the future because this world would be much better. I do not believe there will be a lot of pollution from cars if any. Hopefully the cars will get there energy from the sun. Solar power energy. There may even be flying cars. The world will be much much better. That is why I would like to live in the decade of 2100-2110.

Teenage Smoking..

Most cigarette smokers understand that smoking is hazardous to your health. Despite this, millions attempt to quit each year unsuccessfully, because there is more to being hooked on cigarettes than the physical addiction to nicotine and tobacco. There are also psychological problems linked with smoking that make this habit all the more dangerous, and that in turn make quitting that much harder.
The brain immediately feels the effects of smoking, thanks in large part to how fast nicotine reaches the brain shortly after a smoker takes the first puff. Social learning theory states that over time one learns to associate smoking with other pleasurable activities, including eating, drinking and socializing.People can become quickly conditioned to the point where the thought of a pleasurable activity triggers the need for a cigarette. These psychological associations remain when smokers try to quit and make stopping the habit once and for all difficult.
The psychological addiction associated with smoking is caused by the nicotine inhaled. Cigarette nicotine has a direct effect on dopamine levels in the brain, which in term influence mood, appetite, and other aspects of brain chemistry controlled by this neurotransmitter. Repeated exposure to nicotine from smoking can quickly lead to the brain building up a tolerance for it, requiring the person to smoke more and more to produce the same effects on dopamine.

Fame and Fortune,

A person can achieve fortune in many ways and it will change that individual's life. In my opinion there are two ways a person achieves fame and fortune. A person can achieve fame and fortune by either working hard and earning it or by simply being handed the fame and fortune down by their parents. When a person works hard to achieve their fame and their fortune they also inevitably end up building their character. During the process of reaching their desired status these people must have encountered failures. Each failure that they surpassed taught them determination, and every time they had to find the strength to try one more time, they learned to "dig deep" within themselves and push themselves harder.  It is these kinds of people that truly remain humble once they have acquired the fame and fortune, because they have exhausted themselves and put in the time and effort. They will forever know what it was like to be on the other side of the spectrum and for that be truly grateful of their great luck.
However, the people that are just given fame and fortune often expect everything to just as well be GIVEN to them. These are the type of people most of the ones who aren't famous or have a whole bunch of money consider "spoiled". They don't have the challenge or privilege of knowing what it is like or how it feels to have to work for something. Not everyone who inherits fame and fortune is like this but there is a possibility that they might turn out unappreciative

What makes me special!

What makes me special? I consider myself being a very unique and different person. I have two different types of names. My name, Sydney is a different name and not many people have that name. My nickname is Arnell and that is also a different name that not many people have. I can play pretty much play any sport or close to any sport, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm good at it though. I am a very active and energetic individual. Being this way have caused me to brake a bone, and my right arm to exact. I am also a smart person who is planning to attend college! :)

Prejudice..

THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!!... Prejudice is an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason, according to dictionary.com.  Prejudice is a dangerous area that can cause many negative effects. One thing that causes prejudice is the desire to be superior to another person or group. When Caucasians decide that their race is superior to a Hispanic American then they are being prejudice. They have not gotten to know the Hispanic and assumed they were better beforehand, which is a bit of racial profiling. They didn't even take the time to find out if the Hispanic were maybe some sort of genius or athletic superstar. The white American just saw the color of the skin and assumed the Hispanic were worthless.Prejudice have a history of negativity. I know many people in this country, the United States if America, are prejudice. This country is very unequal even though it does have great benefits. When their is prejudice the people who are being judged beforehand are the ones who suffer. They do not get fair or equal treatment and their lives are made much more harder. They are given no voice and seen as animals.
Prejudice is also caused by the result of parenting. Sometimes parents hand down their prejudice towards certain people to their children. Their children then become prejudice and the cycle continues. This is why people say that the parents are the reason why their children turn out the way they did; horrible! Prejudice is just bad news and we are better of without it but it is too late for some people.

No computers...

Modern life without computers would be terrible. Everything revolves around computers. We do homework on our computers, we do our work on our computers, we go into the internet and browse through the internet, and our cell phones are like computers now. Everything has been turned into that we have to rely on computers for everything in this world. Without computers everything would be so much slower. Things that can be done in an hour on the computer will take three hours on hand. Computers have started to think for us. A lot of people are lacking knowledge now because we depend on the computers to do it for us. Without the computers we would not be modern anymore. Computers manage our money. They keep up with everything that we buy and sell. Without computers, a lot of people would not know what to do because their daily routine is all about computers. Kids would actually have to do something and think about it on their own. The social network would not exist and people would have to everything like the old days where you actually said something to somebody face to face.

Endong a relationship...

You've done everything you can. But you've finally realised that it's time to end your relationship. Understandably you're struggling to do it. Here's some practical advice to help you bring your relationship to a close. Also what to do if you can't quite bring yourself to end it (even though you know you should).
A relationship not working out is rarely about blaming or there being anything wrong with either you or your partner. It's just that the two of you are not compatible. Remember this when going through the process. The only other significant reasons for break-ups are because of physical or emotional abuse. Virtually everything else is a compatibility issue.
Sometimes the truth hurts. 'You're too fat, I don't find you sexually attractive and you're crap in bed'
Would you want to hear that? I doubt it. I also suspect you don't really want to hurt your partner, so sometimes it's best to avoid telling the whole truth. Not lie. Just not go in to all the details where you know it will hurt them.
If you're break up takes a long time, you're going to be asked lots of questions. You're both going to hurt badly in the process. Just don't ever be tempted to use a harsh truth as a weapon to get revenge for you feeling hurt.

Online sources..

Many online sources offer varying definitions, but mostly everyone agrees that the Internet is a worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computer networks that allows sharing or networking of files and information at remote sites from other academic institutions, research institutes, private companies, government agencies and individuals using the Transmission Control Protocol or Internet Protocol, and that communicate through phone and satellite. It is a three level hierarchy composed of backbone networks, mid-level networks, and stub networks. These include commercial, university and other research networks.

The internet allows school students as well as adults to do research for pretty much anything in the world. If you are sick, you can look up solutions of how to get rid of your cold. You can find ways to heel an injury from the internet. You can find out anything form the internet from when a show comes on to where to find a type of shoe at to reading a book online. The internet is can be for all ages, but should be monitored by an adult for children that are not yet teenagers. Those children would probably use the internet to play games and fun things of that sort. The internet was a great invention for this world.

New language..

Before you learn grammar, take classes, watch foreign TV, work from books, learn 2000 words using native speaker audio file. What good is grammar without words? How can you get anything out of a class without knowing the words. You will get frustrated and think you do not have a gift. But the truth is everyone has the gift to learn languages. How can you understand or speak to anyone without the words of a language? Learn the words anyway you can. Eveyone finds their own way.
I like flashcards. But mnemonics is good, or word list, but drill the words until you know about 2000 individual words. Then you can learn the grammar or anything else in a month or less. That is the secrete to learning a language fast.

Relationships with Animals..

Not everyone has a great relationship with their pets but many people do. They treat their pets as if they were a member of their family. A pet can become the best friend of to a person.  A pet can keep them company and occupied. With a pet they have something to care for and look after, they'll be able to feed it and show them love. A pet can develop a relationship for anyone of any age. People usually want a pet because they like that specific animal, others want a pet for the companionship. Any pet can win over someones heart. If you look after a pet, they will show you their gratitude and over time you will begin to develop a relationship with that pet and begin to love them. Anyone who owns a pet, the pet becomes an important part of their life. Pets can teach humans how to care for another living thing. Relationships that people have with animals is important because animals sometimes need the help of humans to take care of them, they can not always survive on themselves. Animals can become a big part of someones life and when they become part of a family they bring benefits to the family. However, it is important to show them who is boss still because sometimes their animal instincts can harm others. It is important to show them how to behave, like tricks or commands.

Public school and homeschooling...

Regular public school classrooms are not, by nature, relatively calm environments, especially at the elementary school level. However, that does not mean a student cannot thrive in such an environment. In fact, supporters of regular public schooling argue that the chaos of the classroom is actually what children need to succeed.
Humans are social creatures. That is the belief of many regular public school proponents. Children should interact and to work with one another in order to build real, vital skills needed in the real world. For example, the advocates of regular public schooling believe that learning the reading process can certainly happen effectively at home. After all, they say, most kids do learn to read at home. However, the goal of public education is not to teach students simply how to read, solve math problems, or to solve scientific equations. If that was the case, home schooling would be the best option for everyone.

Sleeping..

All moms put passion in singing"cradle song". Animals also sleep, even the plants. Everything that's alive needs sleep to survive. In the resting hours, the body makes internal repairs such as relaxation of muscles, the neurons repair themselves, the brain sorts things out, replaces chemicals and solve problems, the immune system increases and so. In the past, most people thought of sleep as a passive time. Today we know that sleep holds the mind and the body together. The lack of sleep can destroy our health. The more sleep-deprived we are, the more stressed we become and overtired.
Nerve-signaling chemicals called neurotransmitters control whether we are asleep or awake by acting on different groups of nerve cells, or neurons, in the brain. Neurons in the brainstem, which connects the brain with the spinal cord, produce neurotransmitters such as serotonin and norepinephrine that keep some parts of the brain active while we are awake. Other neurons at the base of the brain begin signaling when we fall asleep. These neurons appear to "switch off" the signals that keep us awake. Research also suggests that a chemical called adenosine builds up in our blood while we are awake and causes drowsiness. This chemical gradually breaks down while we sleep.
How do our bodies know when it is time to sleep? We all have an internal circadian clock that provides cues for when it is time to sleep and time to wake. This clock is sensitive to light and time of day, which is why having a good bedtime routine and a quiet dark place to sleep is so important. At the same time, a chemical messenger called adenosine builds up during the day as our bodies are busy using energy. The more adenosine builds up in the brain, the sleepier you will feel. Adenosine combined with the circadian clock sends a powerful message of sleepiness to your body.
Insomnia almost always affects job performance and well-being the next day.
I hope I helped you a bit.

Life without phones..

Considering that technology is advancing everyday and new inventions are forming, life without the invention of cellphones would be completely different. Now a days people rely a majority of their life on their phones. People can not step out of their house without having their phone in their hand. If they forget to grab there phone, they will go back in get it even if there drove five minutes away already. People use their phone to communicate with their friends, family, or they also use it for business relating topics. Cellphones are so advanced that you could practically do anything with a cellphone. The majority of cellphones can provide you with Internet access, and some people use this opportunity to check their emails if they have important business or school emails they are waiting for. The majority of cellphones also provide a camera and a video recorder. With this service you no longer need to bring a camera along where you go. Because cellphones are advancing everyday and they provide all these features and more modern life would not be the same without cellphones. To some people cellphones is an item that must be with them all the time for any purpose, they no longer use a cellphone to only make a call. If cellphones are banned people will probably have a hard time without it because it has evolved so much already.

Spicy and sweet foods...

The comparison between spicy and sweet foods is that they are all foods. Everybody eats either one of them. Another comparison is that they both have some foods that are nasty but some foods that are good. The difference is the taste. Spicy foods have hot sauce, jalapenos, pepper or anything to make it spicy. There is a certain type of bitter taste that spicy food contains. Spicy foods also have the tendency of making you go to the restroom. Sweet foods are different. When you say sweets, some people think of candy or desserts. There are not a lot of foods that are main dish and are sweet. Most of the sweet foods are in the end when you order some ice cream or some cake. They both are in different categories. The thing that I hate is when people try to mix the two together. Those two completely opposite taste cannot combine that good all of the time. It is like trying to mix oil and water together, it cannot happen.

Formal and informally,

When you dress for a formal occasion that is when you are usually going to a party, get together, or if you are going to work. Women usually wear nice skirts with a nice fitted shirt and some high heels. They can wear nice slacks. They can also wear dresses. Jeans and sneakers are not clothes that you wear if you are going to a formal occasion. Guys wear he easy stuff. I believe that they have an easy outfit because they can just wear slacks, ties and nice shoes. That is what people wear when you go to a formal occasion. When you go to an informal occasion, people can wear whatever they want. You can wear jeans, shorts, sneakers, t-shirts, Crew necks, hoodies, hats and etc. Informal wear is usually what you feel is comfortable.

Essay #9..

High school students should not have mandatory volunteer requirements. The very nature of volunteer community service is that the activity is voluntary and not mandated by the school. Making community service compulsory negates the intended purpose.
It is advisable for high school students to be introduced to the benefits of participation in community service. This is accomplished in most high schools today through elective courses of service learning curriculum.
The service learning class differs from voluntary community service because there is a benefit compensation component for both the business and the students.
Local organizations and companies partner with the school district to offer
short term learning opportunities to students who will earn class credit. The volunteering activity is only one aspect of the mutual learning service program.
The emphasis in the classroom curriculum is lessons on fulfilling civic duty and simultaneously learning about the environment and global responsibility. For example, a class could be assigned to pick up all the litter and trash along a river bank. The trash would be cataloged and analyzed for it's potential for adverse effects on natural resources.
The class will offer guest speakers and the students will be involved in individual and group projects, keeping journals and writing essays on their findings. The class lesson plans lay the groundwork for the projects, but much of the cooperative learning activity is accomplished off site. The students learn skills in leadership, team building and how to meaningful engage with their surroundings.
The service learning class is an excellent vehicle for instilling in students the spirit of volunteering which they will carry with them into their adult lives. Learning the needs of their community and the various companies and organizations existing to meet those needs is invaluable for future activist behavior by former students on behalf of the community.
Since service learning classes take place as part of the school agenda it is beneficial and convenient for high school students to participate. Asking students to take on volunteer activiity in addition to their high school schedule is inappropriate.
In order to be well rounded individuals equipped to go out into the world and be optimally productive, students need to have the time to participate group sports and clubs, as well as have the opportunity for a social life and after school part time paid employment if needed or desired. Additional mandatory community service volunteer projects during the high school years could result in "burn out" and be detrimental to the student's scholastic performances and personal well being.
It is not unusual for some civic minded students to take on volunteer work in lieu of after school activities or during their summer break. This is all the more admirable because of the true "volunteer" aspect of their participation.
Volunteerism cannot be mandated.

Two people of different Interest..

Two people of different interests and backgrounds could become allies by just getting to know each other. They can talk about their differences and the things they have in common. They may like the same subject in school or like the same sports. Everyone in the world has to have something in common so everyone can become allies. It is easy to just start conversations with someone to get to no them. Ask them what their name is. Ask them how old they are, where they are from, what they like and many more things to ask.
Everyone in the world is different with different backgrounds, but it is easy to talk to anyone if you are willing to. If you see this person a lot, it is very easy to get to know them as time goes by. You start to learn about them and their interest and how they grew up or their background. This will start to build a relationship with them and hopefully become a strong relationship between the two.
We live in a world with many ethnicity's and diversity with various cultures. There are so many people in the world that start off with people who do not find out that they have the same interest in things, but later develop a good friendship. I personally have a family full of diversity and different ethnicity's but I still talk to everyone. Just because you have different backgrounds does not mean you cannot become allies. You will have a friendship one way or another.

Vegetables!

With me, I dislike basically almost every vegetable you can think of. I still have to eat them because they are good for you, but I still dislike most of them. The one vegetable I like the most is corn. The vegetable I would say i truly dislike and do not like to eat is Broccoli. It does not taste well at all to me. It may to other people, well actually many of people from what I see, but for me, not at all. If I could, I would never eat Broccoli ever again, but I am made to eat it with my dinner almost everyday. I'm not going to complain though, because it is good for me to eat vegetables.

Essay #8..

Some educators believe that every child in every school should have access to computers. Others believe that the value of computers in the classroom is overrated and that computers may actually interfere with the learning process. In my opinion, I believe it is very important that computers should be in the classroom, or have a computer room for all the students. Technology is what people need now and days and help with many things. Students can do research on the computers from what a teacher may have assigned to them for a project. It is a really good resource for all students from middle school to college. I believe all those ages in school should have access to computers at school and even at home for their homework (if needed).
Daily technology use in core subject-area classes, frequent technology use in intervention courses, and a low student-to-computer ratio can play a critical role in reducing dropout rates. A federal investment in mobile computers for every child would pay huge dividends with the national productivity. Technology is an investment, not an expense. About almost fifty percent of all schools would say their dropout rates are going down, but for schools that have implemented a program called one to one computing programs, that figure is about fifty-eight percent. For schools that are implementing one to one programs effectively, employing strategies such as regular formative assessment and frequent teacher collaboration, that figure jumps to about eighty percent. A one to one computing is giving a student a Mac or Windows laptop. This really helps students not to dropout of school. The difference in lifetime tax revenues between a dropout and a college graduate is approximately two hundred thousand dollars. Schools with a one to one student-to-computer ratio are cutting the dropout rate and reaping this broader benefit.
There were 3.7 million-seventh graders in the United States public schools in fall 2007, according to the Education Department’s most recent Digest of Education Statistics. If the federal government spent four hundred dollars to supply each seventh grader with a mobile computing device, and then did this for every subsequent class of seventh graders, the cost would be about 1.5 billion dollars per year. The high school graduation rate of the United States students has ranged from seventy-one percent to seventy-four percent for the last decade. A rate of seventy-four percent means nine hundred sixty-two of the seventh graders from 2007 likely will not graduate. If just one-tenth of these potential dropouts were actually to finish school and go on to college, that would result in ninety-six thousand two hundred more college graduates and about nineteen billion dollars more in tax revenues over the next forty years.
Yes, this is a hypothetical scenario that relies on a few assumptions. The first being that the lower dropout rates in schools with one to one computing programs are a result of these programs and not some other factor. I believe this will work, keeping kids into school. I believe the educators that argue that every child in every school should have access to computers is correct.

A time when I was happy..

The time when I was totally happy was the beginning of the sumer in 2009. It was a time for family to be together. My family and my aunt's family from my dad's side of the family. There was my uncle, aunt, big cousin and my little cousin. Both of my cousins are girls. My older cousin is twenty-two and my little cousin is fifteen years old.
They call my dad, telling him they just got off the plane and to pick them up. My dad has a large truck, so I decide to go with him. I am so happy to see my uncle, aunt and two cousins. I don't get a chance to see them a lot. Maybe, I get to see them once a year. When they come out the airport, they see us and we see them. I get out to give them all hugs and help them get their luggage in the back of the truck. As they get into the car, everyone is happy to see one another.
The reason my cousins and their parents came to Inglewood from Modesto is that there was a weeding to go to. There were another cousin of mine that was getting married. That was avery happy time of my life.

Lunch with a famous person!

The famous person I would want to have lunch with is Eric Jerome Dickey. He is the best author in the world to me. I would ask him about his life and how hard he worked to get to the point where he became the best author. I would ask him if he thinks that there will be someone else in the world to become a better writer than he is. We would talk about all his work, tours, and what would help me to become such a great author like him.

Essay #7..

A wonderful thing to do in life is to take care of your environment. Carpooling, recycling, and planting trees are all activities that are good for the environment. Carpooling would not only save money on gas, but it would also lower the pollution in the air. Recycling is good for the environment by redirecting waste to serve as raw materials for industry, recycling provides a number of important benefits. Planting trees in your neighborhood really is one of the best things you can do for the local environment and for the planet.
Carpooling, also known as ride-sharing or lift-sharing can save big bucks on gas, wear and tear on our vehicle, oil resources and reduce all the associated nasty environmental impact associated with driving. When people drive to work, they have room for other passengers. Have you ever noticed how many others around you are driving on their own? In Australia, 83% of people who drive work or study in 2003 did not have a passenger. In the USA, single occupant commuting is around 75% according to census data. There are millions of people who engage in solitary travel to and from work. People drive billions of miles each year, spend a stack of cash on gas and pumping tons of emissions into the atmosphere. A small car emits around .59 pound of carbon dioxide per mile. A medium car emits 1.1 pounds of carbon dioxide per mile. A SUV/4 wheel emits around 1.57 pounds of carbon dioxide per mile.
Recycling provides a number of important benefits such as, reducing pollution and conserving natural resources. It saves energy by reducing the need to extract and process raw materials to manufacture new products. It also reduces greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide and recycling stimulates the development of greener technologies. It cost at least three times more to dump trash in landfills than it cost to reuse and recycle. Whether you manage a one million square foot Manhattan commercial property or own a small retail business, you can benefit from a recycling waste removal and recycling program.
Planting trees in your neighborhood is a great thing for the environment and the planet. Trees can provide oxygen and remove carbon dioxide and contaminants from the air. Trees are like the lungs of the planet. They provide habitat for birds and other wildlife. CO2 is one of the major contributing elements to the greenhouse effect. Trees trap CO2 from the atmosphere and make carbohydrates that are used for plant growth. Mature trees can absorb roughly 48 pounds of CO2 a year. The tree in return releases enough oxygen to sustain two human beings. Trees also help reduce ozone levels in urban areas. Trees reduce noise pollution. This is important people who live near freeways.
Therefor, Carpooling, recycling and planting trees are great for the environment and the planet Earth. These things can save humans lives with less pollution and more oxygen.

Essay #6..

Elementary and secondary schools around the country are beginning to actively address the problem of bullies. In m opinion, bullying is an issue that should be addressed by schools. Reasons can be that the student that is being bullied may go home and commit suicide. That would be the worst thing that can happen. It can lead to the child getting so mad that they would want to kill the person that is bullying them as well. That is bullying them as well. That is also a very horrible thing that can happen because if that student brings a gun to school, it puts more students in danger.
Fair and consistent enforcement of school discipline policies, meaningful school climate strategies which include anti-bullying initiatives and balanced security measures can lead to school climates with less bullying and fewer safety threats to children. Anti-bullyng legislation, typically an unfunded mandate requiring schools to have anti-bullying policies, but providing no financial resources to improve school climate and security, offer more political hype than substance for helping school administrators address the problem.
Bullying has received a significant amount of attention following a high-profile school shootings and related incidents of violence in the past two decades. I believe bullying to be a serious issue and worthy of reasonable attention, awareness and action. Schools and the youth to be aware of appropriate behaviors for youth and how inappropriate behaviors should be addressed. The issue of bullying has also became a hot topic of conversation in the school safety field. In fact, bullying has been focused upon to a point which some believe has become overkill. It has been described as "all the rage in scientific research."
Bullying is one threat of many on a broad continuum of potential school safety threats. I believe bullying to be a serious issue and worthy of reasonable attention, awareness and action. I also believe that bullying is one of many factors which must be taken into consideration in developing sage schools prevention, intervention, and enforcement plans and that bully-prevention efforts and initiatives are one of many strategies that should be included in a comprehensive school safety program. I believe that bullying should be and typically already is addressed in school student behavior codes.
Bullying is a serious problem. Up to half of all children are bullied at some point during their school years. Children who are bullied may be afraid to go to school. They may complain of headaches or stomachaches and have trouble concentrating on schoolwork. In the long term, the consequences of bullying may be even more severe. Children who are bullied have higher rates of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and other mental health conditions. Children who are bullied are more likely to think about suicide. Some of these wounds may linger into adulthood.

Essay #5..

Some people go right on to college after high school; others take a year or more off to work or travel. I cannot pick which one I would do or which is better because both, waiting and not waiting is great to do depending the person you are. I have reasons for both, but I will start with going to college first. I believe it is easier to go straight to college rather then taking time off and traveling, then try and go back to college to get your degree. You will not have enough money to travel like you would after college and got a real job. Before college, you do not have your degree so you do not have the money to travel comfortably and do anything you want. Many things would be limited on what you can and cannot do. Skipping college for a few years may cause you to forget a few things about school and education. When you are older, it is harder to learn then when you are in your teenage years.
I prefer going right out of high school. For one, us kids usually are not married and do not have kids yet. We usually do not have a lot of responsibilities. I have nothing against graduates taking a year off, but the longer you wait the harder it is to go back to college. I wold not recommend waiting to go to college, because then it becomes harder and harder to go back, especially if you wait more than the one year. Get college out of the way as soon as you can. It's not an easier thing to do if you wait.
I would rather go to college right after high school when most other students are going that are the same age that you are. I feel that I would rather have the whole college experience such as living in the dorms, being a freshman at seventeen or eighteen years old. You could be making lifelong friends. With college tuition rising every year, I would rather get it done before it gets even more expensive. Why wait to start your life and go to college later in your life? I believe that it would be a better thing to start your career at about the age of twenty-three or twenty-four rather than later on in life. Start your life early!
There are benefits of waiting a couple of years to start college after a few years. If you really can't afford college, it will give you the opportunity to work and save up some money for tuition. Some people go on trips and try to discover who they are before deciding exactly what it is they want to do for the rest of their lives. However, if you are going to be sitting around, doing nothing and bumming off your parents, I would say take your but to college. If you do not know what you want to do in college, college is not the place to just "find yourself". College is way to important and way to expensive for that. You do not want to have to change your major a lot of times. When that happens, you happen to spend more time in college than you would if you already knew your major and what you really wanted to do for sure.
To sum it up, it depends on the person on whether to go to college right after high school or to travel right after high school. If you are ready and know your major for sure then go to college. If not, take a few years off and think about it. Find out what you like to do. If you do not have the money, also wait a few years and work to get the money to go to college.

Essay #4..

Teenagers should get their license at the age of eighteen years old instead of sixteen years old. When a teenager gets their license at the age of sixteen years old, that is another car accident waiting to happen. The rate of a car accident from a teenager is about ten percent of the U.S population, but account for twelve percent all fatal car crashes. Each year, over five-thousand teenagers of the ages sixteen to twenty die due to fatal injuries caused by car accidents. About four-hundred thousand drivers of the age sixteen to twenty are seriously injured due to car accidents. Drivers (both female and male) under the age of twenty-four account for thirty percent or twenty-six billion dollars of the total cost of car accidents in the U.S. The death rate for teenage male drivers and passengers in car accidents is more than one and a half times female teenage drivers. Male drivers between the ages of fifteen and twenty, thirty-eight were speeding and twenty-four percent had been drinking and driving.
Teenage drivers tend to underestimate hazardous driving situations and are less able than older drivers to recognize dangerous situations. If you were to ask yourself why teenagers should drive, you have no list. I found that your rear lobe in your brain, the one responsible for reflexes, does not mature until you are the age of twenty-nine years old. This is why teenagers have the number one spot on the highest driving fatality rates in the U.S. Teenagers are not responsible enough to be driving at such a young age. Most teens may see driving as being fun rather than just as transportation. Some teenagers may just go joy riding in a car for fun at night or during the day. They may go at night because they believe there are no cops anywhere around and to find a street where there are not any cars to be able to drag race. Drag racing can mean speeds of one-hundred miles per hour.
Many teenagers go to parties from about eight till two in the morning most of the time. Many teens drive to parties which means they drive back home at about two o'clock in the morning. At many of these parties, there is drinking going on so many of these teens that are deriving home at two in the morning can be drunk. Not only can they be drunk, but also sleepy. That is not a good combination at all. You will either fall asleep at the wheel, or get into a bad accident due to being drunk. A lot of these teens love to give rides out to other teens so they have some people in the car with them. They turn the music up loud. In this case, they are not able to hear anything going on outside of the car. Your friends could be in the car talking a lot so you would not be able to concentrate on the road. This is how so many accidents happen with teenagers.
The thing teens love to do the most is text message. Teens text when they wake up before they do anything else. They text during school, while they eat dinner, and many other things, but the most dangerous is to text while driving. Texting and driving is just as bad as driving and driving.
The driving age should be changed from sixteen to eighteen. To many people are getting killed because of teen car accidents.

Essay #3..

There has been questions for many years about life on other planets. I do believe there is life on other planets. I remember years ago, scientist had talked about living organisms on the planet Mars. Humans and living organisms on earth cannot be the only living things in the universe. There has to be others.
It is possible to have life on other planets in the universe. Finding that there is life on other planets may be difficult to prove. Scientist do not know exactly what form of life is on other planets outside our solar system, so it might be hard to search for. The universe is a huge place. Radio signals and space vehicles travel too slow to allow scientist to find life that is very far away.
Mars is the most likely planet to have life on it. The conditions of Mars turns out to be similar to the conditions in Antarctica, except for the lack of oxygen. Scientist guess that forms of life might be able to survive on the planet Mars. Mars may have grabbed the headlines as a potential site of extraterrestrial life, but Venus may have been the original source of life in our solar system. Four billion years ago, the sun was forty percent cooler than today. At that time, Earth and Mars were probably frozen. Venus is closer to the sun. Four billion years ago, Venus may have had warm liquid oceans and a mild climate. Venus may have been the best haven for life in the early solar system. With nine-hundred degree Fahrenheit surface temperatures and an atmosphere permeated by carbon dioxide, chlorine  and sulfuric acid clouds today. Venus seems inhospital to our kind of life. It is even possible that life on Earth may have evolved from life forms provided by Venus. Venus may have a better environment for nurturing life more than on Mars. Venus has a chemically lively surface and atmosphere that could provide organisms with energy and nutrients. It is possible that Venus could have tiny microbes in its clouds particles. Venus is the closet thing Earth has to a twin. Studying Venus is the way scientist learned about the problem with Earth's ozone layer.
In conclusion, Venus and Mars are the closet things to having life on them. Venus is like earth in some ways. Mars is a place like Antarctica, except it has less oxygen. This universe it to big for Earth to be the only planet with living things on it. There can be what we think as aliens, but those alines could think of us humans as aliens. I believe there is extraterrestrial life.

Essay #2..

School Uniforms are in a way very unique and different, but what is really the reason that students should have to wear them? The United States is supposed to be a country of freedom and individuality. Each and every person in the world is different, and by making people dress the same they cannot express themselves fairly the way that they would like to. It is sensible for schools to be able to make dress codes, but telling students they have to all dress the same is absolutely ridiculous. Having school uniforms is not necessary, and there are many reasons to prove why schools should not make their students wear uniforms.
First, I think school uniforms can save time because students, especially girls, don’t have to spend a lot of time trying to choose clothes to wear. In eliminating this time consuming task, students would have a lot more time to do more important things such as eating breakfast in the morning or doing homework. Also, think of all those hours at the mall trying to find the perfect thing to wear. With uniforms, you can spend that time visiting your Grandparents or doing something nice for a neighbor.
Secondly, I believe uniforms can make school safer because they can alleviate school violence and indignant based on the clothes the children wear. This would help kids with less money to elude the teasing they would get if they didn’t have uniforms. In addition, school uniforms would help pinpoint all the hoodlums and menaces that aren’t supposed to be on the campus.
Lastly, with school uniforms, parents wouldn't be steeped with overpriced clothing. Uniforms only cost fifty to one hundred and thirty dollars yearly, plus ten dollars if you want accessories to complement the uniforms, but that‘s always optional. If you compare that price to the price you have to pay buying clothes every other week, you’d be bewildered at how much you can save.
In conclusion, I think students would benefit a lot more if they had to wear school uniforms. Kids wouldn’t have to eat breakfast in the car, parents wouldn’t have to wince whenever they looked at the receipt, and poor students wouldn’t have to be bullied by the delinquents.

Teachers and methods for teachers

A good method of teaching in my opinion is to work interactively. Don't give everything straight away to the students. Let them find out things for themselves (experience) and let them look things up on the net, in books, ... and take them out to see the real life once in a while. Certainly don't let them learn by heart things they don't understand.

The house we lived in...

The house we lived in was fun, bright, and full of laughter. My family and I always know how to make a each other laugh. We always enjoy ourselves when we're around each other and we always try not make one another mad. The house we lived in brought joy to our lives because It was an actual place we can call home.

The Food You Eat

I can't really speak for others but I can speak for myself. To be completely honest, I do not necessarily watch what I eat but I do know when to stop eating foods I don't need. For an example, If I am eating something I like, I will keep eating and eating. Though I would keep eating and eating, I still know when to stop and how much I can take. Others, for an example, may keep eating and eating just because the like the food though they knew they are too full to even get it.

Essay #1..

Animal Treatment
I feel bad to know that animals go through a great deal of pain just so people can eat, be warm, and- feel pretty. I think it is very wrong, yet I still condone in to this behavior. I also think by me using animals for my personal gain is very selfish because I know they go through pain and they have feelings just like me.

Every day we are intimately connected with animals. We eat animals for food, wear animal skins for clothes, own animals as pets, use animals for recreation, and experiment on animals to test drugs and consumer products. We are aware of this, yet we typically give little thought to the staggering number of animals that we use in these ways, and what the animals themselves might be experiencing as we use them for our purposes. While no non-human animal on this planet has the sophisticated rational abilities that we do, many, nevertheless, have mental capacities that enable them to experience pain, suffering, and anxiety from our treatment of them.

In the U.S., over 10 billion animals are raised and killed each year for food—about 9 billion chickens, 250 million turkeys, 100 million pigs, 35 million cows. The vast majority of these are not raised on small family farms but, rather, in large agricultural facilities called factory farms, also known as Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). The idea of factory farming originated in the 1920s with the discovery of vitamins A and D. When mixed with feed, farm animals were capable of growing without sunlight or exercise, which enabled them to be raised more efficiently in barns throughout the year. With population growth, and increases in meat eating, by the 1960s factory farming became widespread and today it dominates the meat production industry. The driving force behind factory farming is economics: it is cheaper to raise animals in a confined area using assembly-line methods than it is to manage them in larger and open areas. The meat industry is highly competitive, and to stay in business farmers need to adopt the most cost-effective methods of raising animals.
I do believe that people in the U.S. are generally concerned about animal protection, but are not ready to make big sacrifices on behalf of animals when it conflicts with human interests, like me. I feel as though animals deserve the exact same rights as people to be free from harm and exploitation. They deserve some protection from harm and exploitation, but it is still appropriate to use them for the benefit of humans.

Optometrist Doctor...

I would be an Optometrist Doctor. It is not technically a medical doctor, but a doctor of optometry. I would conduct eye examinations, prescribe glasses and contact lenses, and diagnose some eye diseases. I would check people eyes pretty much everyday for appointments to see if they need glasses or not. If they do, then I would have to prescribe the glasses. The glasses have to fit and the patient would be able to pick which ever one they want. Their glasses can even be like sunglasses, but jus with prescription on it. That would be the job of an Optometrist Doctor (eye doctor).

Tweenty feet tall..

Imagine if I were twenty feet tall. That is about two stories tall. Walking around at that height is crazy. I could do many great things at that height. When someone needs a ladder to get something or put something up at that height, I can do it. For me to be that tall, my arms are probably at least eight feet wide (one arm). I do not think anyone would let me play basketball because it would be so unfair. Really unfair for a lot of sports. I would need a two story house with no stairs in the house so I would be able to fit. My car would have to be custom made. If I were walking in the mall, I could look on the second floor inside the stores without being on the second floor. It would be good, but also bad in some ways being that tall.

Dancing..

I am really good a dancing, many people I know would agree to that as well.  Many people often try to dance, but some just cant. It's not for everyone. I think what makes me so good is that I have my own style, and by that I am able to perfect any dance movement I do because I add my own style to it. Maybe that's what it is, others should try to add in their own style and that would probably help them.

My new kind of sandwich..

My new kind of sandwich is very different. It may not be something people may want to eat, but yet it is a NEW kind of sandwich. My sandwich would come straight from the beach. The sandwich would be of seaweed with sand and good fish to hold the sandwich together. The fish would be cut into squares to really look like a sandwich. The seaweed would hang out the sides of the sandwich. The sand would be wet and able to connect to the fish and the seaweed.

Something I've won..

I have won many things in my life. Something I have won was best at flex on my jr. midget squad for the Inglewood Jets. It was my second year cheering for them and I felt loved and appreciated. I won it by being very flexible with my moves and showing my coaches how well I can bend my body, and put in difficult positions.

Super power..

The superpower that I would most likely like to have is to have super speed. To have the ability to run and move extremely fast. I would be using superhuman reflexes and seemingly violate certain law of physics. I would never get tired. When you think about it, I would never need to drive anywhere. I would not even need to get on a plane to go across the globe. I could run on water. Having super speed means I can run around the world faster than you can blink.

And Afternoon with Grandma,

I would love to spend time with my Grandmother on my dad's said. She is always traveling which is a great thing and lives in Florida, so I never spend any time with her. I would ask her about her life and what life was like back when she was little. I would ask her how much different it is now then it was when she was a kid. What type of activities did she do when she was a kid and many things of that subject. I would cherish that moment because I never know when it will be the last moment for her.

Visit The Moon..

I would visit the moon because I believe it would be a great experience and I would have great time with no gravity to keep me on the ground. It would take three days, three hours, and thirty-nine minutes to get to the moon. It seems long, and i believe it would be long but I would be able to handle it. I believe I would learn a lot from going to the moon and on the way to the moon from someone who knows what they are talking about, when talking about the galaxy. I would have fun on the trip to the moon.

Outdoor Living..

Outdoor living to a person with an apartment in the city would be very different. They are used to a fast pace city with many cars and pollution in the city. Outdoor living is more of a place with many trees and no pollution. There may be a couple planes here and there flying over, but not a lot. It is a wonderful place full of fresh air. Living outdoors, not close to a city gives you the beauty of the outdoor living style. It can give you new skills that you did not have before. The air that you breath is much better than all the pollution from the city. You may be used to living in the city in your apartment, but the experience of living outdoors is a great one. You may not have that electricity that you are used to, but that is what fire from wood is for. The fire can be for cooking can foods. While living outdoors, you still have those good fruits such as berries and some type of trees you can eat. For dinner, you can go fishing.
I believe, living in this society today with people losing their homes, maybe some people can go try living outdoors for a new experience. Living outdoors can be hard to get use to, but if you get use to it, it can be a very fun thing to do and a great experience. You can adapt to the survival skills and learn how to fish and hunt. Living outdoors is not always the best thing for someone. Anything can happen such as a fire that could get out of control because of all the trees. Other than that, living outdoors can be a great experience and a joy.

The oldest person I know..

The oldest person I no is my Great Grandmother on my fathers side. She lives in Miami Florida and my family and I go to visit her every summer. She is ninety-one years old. She is a very healthy lady. She can walk fine without a cane or anything to keep her up. She speaks well and is still able to cook very good meals. She lives right by a river. The river is basically her backyard. There are alligators in the river and lizards in her backyard. She is not afraid of them at all and feeds them for fun, but not keeping the lizard as a pet. She takes pictures of the alligators whenever she sees one. I've never seen a alligator when i go but she has pictures to show us. My great Grandmother is a wonderful lady, nice, young, and healthy.

Earning Money..

Most jobs are for 18 year old teenagers and a few are for 16 year old teenagers. But none are for 15 year old teenagers unless its being a newspaper boy/girl, mopping the floors, mowing the lawn or some other hard labor job that isn't even well paying. Sad thing is, most teenagers still do them because they need the extra cash. There are other ways today, thanks to the internet. It's taking paid surveys online. This is the best job for 15 year old teenagers because it does not require any interview and you cannot get rejected.

The Baby Dragon..

Dragons flying in the sky
Swooping down and soaring high
Mighty wings, so awe inspiring
Always moving, never tiring

Outlined against a yellow sun
Giant shadows, having fun
Rising, diving, again repeating
In a game of dragons, meeting

Jeweled bodies in the light
A golden wingspan, shining bright
Powerful tails in joy entwining
Playing, while the sun is shining

Oh, how wondrous is this sight
When great dragons show delight

Game show!

If I was on any game show, I would so be on deal or no deal. I pick the number three case because that is my favorite number. As i'm going through the cases, I am picking the high number cases which is bad. I should be getting the low cases. The lower the cases, the more money I get. It comes down to the million dollar case which can be mine, and the dollar case. I ask to open my case to see if I have the million dollar case and it turns out I have the dollar case. I only got a dollar for playing the game show. Poor me!

My home..

What I love most about my home is the quality time my family and I spend in it. I love and cherish that most because not all family members have that and I feel blessed to have that in my life.
During family time we watch movies, talk and laugh, drink milkshakes together, and even play enjoyable board games. I love my family very much and that is why being with them is what I love most about my home.

Cheerleader!!

If I worked at a football stadium of course my job would to be a cheerleader. To make the crowd go loud, and make the people in the stands dance! Cheering has always been my life and it wouldn't be no different at a football stadium.

11 years old..

4 years ago I was 11 years old, and to be completely honest, my rules have not changed since then. I still have the same restrictions and limitations as I had before, but the only thing now, is that I get to cheer for an high school.

Monkeys..

We’ve all seen movies, cartoons, commercials, music videos, etc. in which the main characters are played by these cute, joyful, smart animals. And this may lead us to believe that monkeys would actually make perfect pets. Although while they are just small babies these sweet creatures, with their big eyes and their fuzzy fur may appear as harmless and innocent, but when they grow up and become sexually mature, they can turn into really violent beings. Not to mention that they can pass on to us some extremely dangerous viruses, like the one of herpes B. This disease can be lethal for humans. This I say no, absolutely no to having a monkey as a pet!

Deryanna..

She's just a baby!
With her tiny fingers and cute button nose,
dancing around and wiggling her toes.
She's just a baby!
Wandering off, in the house she thinks is the world,
Stopping at every mirror, to see the reflection of the beautiful baby girl.
She's just a baby!
Eating her food making a mess for me to clean,
But if I dare take it away, all the poor baby could do is scream!

My walls,

My walls would be beautiful! First I would paint everything yellow, as a base colors. Then I would draw pink, blue, and purple lilies and orchards all around the walls. When all that dry, I would draw the sun setting with green grassy hills in front of. After that, I would draw two bodies lying next to each other enjoying the atmosphere!

The bat who couldn't fly..

So his name was Bernard. Bernard had always wanted to fly; he tried very hard at it, a lot harder than his 3 sisters, and 9 cousins, and even harder than his 79 second cousins. In fact flying was pretty much instinctive to everyone except Bernard. Of course his poor mother didn’t know what to do. She had tried everything she thought was possible; physiotherapy, dentistry, psychoanalysis, and a lot more, but in the end everyone gave up, and Bernard felt sad. Then one day while Bernard was at the stream, he looked at himself in the reflection, then to his 79 second cousins, then back to himself, then to his 9 cousins, then back to himself, then to his 3 sisters, then to himself and finally to his mother, before abruptly turning back to himself. And that was when Bernard realized he wasn’t a bat at all.

My guinea pig

I love guinea pigs. Out of all the animals in the world, guinea pigs are the gentlest. They do not have a mean bone in their body and it is hard to believe that they were once capable of existing in the wild.
I would make sure to care for him everyday and give him all the attention he needs and deserves from me. I would also feed and clean up his cage.

Brave

I remember like it was yesterday when I was walking down hardy on my way to my friend's house when 3 huge snow dogs came up to me out of nowhere and were just sniffing me! I was absolutely shocked and scared to death. If I was younger, my first reaction would have been to kick scream and run, but since I was 15 and older, I knew what the consequences of that action would have been. So as scared as I was, I just stood there with my eyes closed and let them sniff me. Eventually their owner came and got them and everything was fine from then, but still I was a little surprised about the whole thing.

A Hundred Dollars

If I a hundred dollars but I couldn't possibly keep it, I would definitely donate to Invisible Children. Invisible Children is a non-profit organization who help the kids of Uganda. The kids of Uganda are unfortunately being abducted form their homes and forced to go to war and kill. I heard about this while in the 7th grade and was immediately interested.
Within the whole thing, I would donate specifically to the scholarship part of this organization. Specifically that portion because their scholarship program gives students a chance to attend secondary school or even a University. I feel and believe that that is really wonderful, and it gives the students of Uganda to make something out of their lives other being soldiers against their will.

My Restaurant

My restaurant would be absolutely amazing. Skylar's would be a casual family-style Italian restaurant located right across the street from the beach. I thought Italian restaurant feel, I should decorated it with red and white checkered tablecloths, dimmed lights, and stucco and brick walls along with an opening into the pizza area where customers can watch the pizzas being made and placed into the large brick oven. Skylar's would play the sounds of smooth jazz throughout the restaurant to keep the mood fun. The walls would be covered from head to toe in photos of the family, staff, and customers all adding to the home-away-from-home environment. The staff at Skylar's would be well mannered, and treat the customers with care and respect.
Skylar's is my Italian restaurant!

Make new Friends...

1. Be yourself, or be true to yourself. A true friend will like you for who you are, not who you pretend to be.

2. Spend more time around people. If you want to make friends, you first need to put yourself out there somehow in order to meet people. Friends seldom come knocking on your door while you sit at home playing computer games.

3. Join an organization with people who have common interests. You don't necessarily have to have a lot of common interests with people in order to make friends with them. In fact, some of the most rewarding friendships are between two people who don't have much in common at all, but if you like a specific topic, try searching for just a location.

4. Join a sports team. A common misconception about this is that you have to be really good at playing a particular sport in order to make friends with others on the team, but not all teams are so competitive. As long as you enjoy the sport and support your teammates, joining a local team with a laid-back attitude could be a great way to make new friends.

5. Talk to people. You can join a club, go to school, or go to church but you still won't make friends if you don't actually talk to people. By the same token, you don't have to be involved with an organization to be social, and any time you talk to someone, you have a chance at making a lasting friend.

6. Make eye contact and smile. If you have an unfriendly countenance, people are less likely to be receptive to your friendship. Be approachable by not squinting, looking bored, frowning or appearing blankly deadpan, folding your arms or hanging out in a corner; such habits may make you look troubled or disinterested.
